Los Angeles songwriter Benny Cassette began collaborating with producer and rapper Chuck Inglish around 2012, after meeting Inglish "at their Jewish jeweler’s wedding." They began working on the EP ''Angel Dust'' in 2012, which combines the genres of hip-hop, soul, rock and pop. It was "produced by Chuck with assistance from Benny and performed by Benny with features from Chuck."〔 Their first single from the album, "Say No To Drugs", was released early on October 24, 2012.〔 Cassette handled vocals, with Inglish producing. A music video for "Say No To Drugs" was released in December 2012.〔〔
The full EP was released on October 30, 2012, and was entirely produced by Inglish.〔 Cassette handled most vocals, with Inglish contributing on several tracks.〔
